What Harvest calls us about

New-owner rekeys in volume

Harvest's subdivisions turn over constantly. Move-in rekeys are far and away the most common scheduled job we run here.

Outbuildings and shop doors

A lot of Harvest properties have a garage, a shop, a barn and a gate. When keys go missing it is rarely just the house — tell dispatch how many buildings and we bring the right kit once.

Long-driveway lockouts

Being locked out on an acre with no neighbor in sight is a different experience from a city lockout. We give real ETAs and stay reachable.

Unincorporated addressing

Harvest is largely unincorporated, and GPS handles some of the newer streets badly. A cross street or subdivision name gets us there faster than an address alone.

Farmland that turned into neighborhoods

Harvest changed faster than almost anywhere in Madison County. What was agricultural land two decades ago is now street after street of subdivisions feeding the Sparkman schools, with the older acreage properties still sitting between them.

That mix is the whole story of our work here. On one street we are rekeying a four-year-old house for its second owner. Two miles away we are cutting a padlock off a barn where the only key has been missing since the property changed hands.

What Harvest calls about

Move-in rekeys, constantly. This is the dominant scheduled job here. The subdivisions turn over regularly, and every closing brings a house whose key history nobody can fully account for. Rekeying every exterior lock takes well under an hour and puts a hard stop on it.

More than one building. This is what makes Harvest different from Madison or Huntsville. A typical call is not “my front door.” It is the house, the detached garage, the shop, the barn, and a padlock on a gate at the end of the drive. If you tell dispatch that up front we bring the right cylinders and padlocks in one trip instead of quoting you a second visit — and we can often bring all of it onto a single key while we are there.

Lockouts with nobody around. Being locked out on a city street is annoying. Being locked out on an acre at 11pm with the nearest neighbor a field away is something else. We give you a genuine ETA rather than an optimistic one, and dispatch stays reachable while you wait.

A practical note on finding you

A lot of Harvest is unincorporated, and the newer streets are exactly the ones mapping data handles worst. We have been sent to phantom cul-de-sacs more than once.

When you call, give us the subdivision name or a cross street alongside the address. It sounds trivial and it regularly saves ten minutes — which, when you are standing outside, is the part of the job you actually feel.

If your house is newer than a decade

The locks the builder fitted are probably perfectly adequate. What holds them almost certainly is not: a standard strike plate with three-quarter-inch screws that grip decorative jamb trim and nothing structural. Swapping to three-inch screws into the framing stud, plus a reinforced strike, is a few dollars in parts and does more for the door than any deadbolt upgrade you could buy. We do it as standard on every install and we will happily come and do only that.

Why us

Why Harvest chooses us

We know the road network

Highway 53, Jeff Road and Wall Triana all behave differently at different hours. Dispatch routes on what is actually moving, not what the map suggests.

One visit, all your locks

Rekeying the house, the shop, the barn and the gate padlock onto a single key is normal work for us out here — and it is cheaper done all at once.

Straight answers on new-build hardware

Your builder's deadbolts are usually decent. The strike-plate screws holding them are not. We will show you the difference.

Locksmith in Harvest — common questions

How long will it take you to reach Harvest?

Generally 30 to 40 minutes. The Highway 53 corridor is quick; the further west and north you are toward the Toney line, the longer it runs. Dispatch gives you a real number on the call.

My GPS pin is wrong. Can you still find me?

Yes, but help us out. A lot of Harvest is unincorporated with newer streets that mapping data has not caught up with. Give us a cross street, the subdivision name, or a landmark and we will get there considerably faster.

Can you rekey the house, the shop and the gate padlock to one key?

Usually yes, as long as the cylinders share a compatible keyway — and where one does not, swapping just that cylinder is normally cheap enough to be worth it. Doing it all in one visit is much cheaper than three separate call-outs.

Do you cover Harvest overnight?

Yes, 24/7. Overnight runs out here take a little longer than daytime ones and dispatch will tell you honestly what to expect.
