The county we actually live in
Madison County holds most of North Alabama’s population and nearly all of our call volume. Huntsville anchors it, Madison and Harvest have grown into it, and the northern half — Hazel Green, New Market, Toney, Meridianville — stays rural enough that a locksmith call means a real drive.
We plan for both halves. Trucks stage around the metro during peak hours, which is what makes a 30-minute average inside the city limits possible, and dispatch is honest about the longer runs north instead of quoting you a number it cannot hit.
What Madison County calls us about
Lockouts at odd hours. This county does not keep a nine-to-five rhythm. Redstone Arsenal and Cummings Research Park run shifts, and a substantial share of our residential lockouts land between 4:30am and 7am or after 10pm — people leaving for or coming home from a shift, with the door closing behind them and the keys inside.
Move-in rekeys. Housing turns over here faster than almost anywhere in the state. Between the new-build subdivisions pushing north and west and the steady resale market inside the parkway, rekeying a new house is the most-booked scheduled job on our calendar.
Commercial hardware in Research Park. Aluminum storefront doors, panic bars, closers and access-controlled openings, in volume. These are maintenance calls as much as emergencies — a closer that has drifted out of adjustment for two years will eventually stop latching a door entirely.
Car keys. Big parking decks, long shifts, and a lot of vehicles. All-keys-lost calls at Bridge Street and around the Arsenal gates are routine for us.
